I have had this jewelry box since I was 18.. wow 23 years, whew... I was ready to move onto something a bit more manageable in size, so I decided that this one would be my next altered project.
I picked out another set of paper that I have been hording and set in to start making something Old into something New.
In the last few projects I have come to realize that although "glittery" paper is pretty, it is a pain to work with especially when adhering it to something else.
I used "Stickles" around the window areas to continue with the glittery look..
I started with the back side as it was much easier than trying to tackle the drawers and glass front pieces. The top was next. The paper was pretty enough that I didn't feel the need to add too much more in the way of embellishments, but I will most likely keep working on it a little at a time until it looks good to me.
The sides came together just perfect.. The box measured about 18" x 12, so I was able to get creative with my 12 x 12 paper stash. I little bit of ribbon to cover the harder more decorative areas, a few flowers here and there to cover some seams... and wa-la...
Another project Down.
Thank you for stopping by to see my newest creations.
Someones elses trash can become your treasure with a little time and imagination, or in this case- my outdated trash became something new. Until next time- Create something Magical.
