Once I figured out how to use the file ( I am VERY New to the SVG world... thanks Pam :) )) I was able to start cutting my layers.
Loaded my papers and Off I went. The challenge said anything but a card.. so it took me a bit to figure out what I was going to do. I had bought some acrylic frames a while back on clearance and the idea struck me. I Gathered supplies and started in.
The Paper I used was from Bazzill Bling* |
I always seem to think outside of my original plan but I really loved how this project turned out |
I have had a long time love with butterflies... all colors all sizes and reached into my box of tricks to find the perfect one for this project- sure enough I found one that matched what I had in mind.
Added some gathered ribbon (SU) and a ribbon flower that I had been hording and used some glue dots to adhere them to the Outside of the acrylic frame. I figured that each year we celebrated together I could swap out the photos.
For the wording I used some song lyrics to a song that so describes our relationship. It seemed to fit perfectly into this entire project so back to the computer I went to print just part of the song off. Sometimes, Lyrics can really describe how you feel about someone. (credit to Bryan Adams for his Awesome Songs)
Once that was printed I grabbed a die cut frame and cut out my text. I inked the edges with a bit of Burgundy ink and mounted it to the outside of the frame. I printed out one of my favorite pictures of my honey and I and slid it inside the frame at the top. Because of the way these frames are designed I didn't even need any adhesive to keep it in place. Now whenever I get a new favorite picture of us together, I can just swap them out.
I really enjoyed playing with things today and joining in on my first Challenge.
My finished Product.
